The Shea Way
Over the past 25 years of practicing colon hydrotherapy, we have developed what we call the "SLO-FIL" technique. Once a person begins to take water into their body, the autonomic nervous system becomes activated. We can moderate this activity by turning the water off intermittently, creating comfort and slowing down the process. Resting is good. This allows the client to integrate the information without becoming traumatized. It also gives them the sense of control over the process. Often the water moves higher into the colon for a more effective cleanse. We are documenting some great results! My colleague in Ireland, Bernadette Murphy, says it perfectly: “SLOWLY IS HOLY!”
We are proud distributors of the modern Dotolo Toxygen hydrotherapy instrument and supplies including their hospital grade disposable packets used with each treatment. . This instrument is FDA cleared as a Class II medical device which requires operation under the supervision of a licensed health care professional. Because of this agreement, we can offer our students a substantial discount. Our graduates receive a discount when they order their Dotolo instrument through Cathy Shea. This has the state-of-the-art, exclusive filtration system that removes, particles, microbes, bacteria, viruses and any chemicals using carbon and ultraviolet light. You will also be offered many other self care products that we use ourselves to stay healthy. Ask for our professional DVD for $15. I show it to everyone prior to their first session. It is also an excellent marketing tool to show to prospects.

What you can do
I am a firm believer in networking. It is much more effective than paper advertising. I have given free treatments to several health care providers in my community and they in turn have sent me clients. I also use the professionally produced Dotolo video as an educational tool. Out of the few I've seen, it is by far the best. (Available from us for $15) Some practitioners keep this video on the TV in their front office for clients to preview on their first visit. I drop them off for doctors in the community and then make an appointment with them for a consultation when I pick it up to get their input. I have also shown it to my personal gynecologist. His nurse practitioners are clients now. My experience has been that some mainstream MDs will send their wives in to "test the waters." One gastroenterologist in our area is referring clients to us pre and post scoping. This is definitive progress and we're delighted! Its going to happen in a big way as more and more people get tired of "taking" drugs and begin "doing" something instead.
Several of our graduates secured funding from the Small Business Administration, grants from family and friends, benefactors. You can create barter with clients in exchange for treatments. Be creative, it’s unlimited! If your heart is in this, the openings will appear. For FREE business support visit www.sba.gov and www.business.gov.
Other Creative Ideas
The other possibility is to approach your own personal colon hydrotherapist about a partnership. Many of them haven't had a vacation in years! This is working well for several reasons. It becomes an apprenticeship as you begin your new career and you have a coach. We've paid graduates $20 per treatment for the first year and then offer them a percentage of the income for the second year. All they do is show up for work and we provide the office, instrument, supplies, etc. As this profession builds, there will be a growing need. There will ALWAYS be more people who need our service than there will be practitioners!
You can donate time and offer a series of presentations in the local schools, chambers of commerce, health food stores, hospital wellness programs, bookstores, etc. This is a wonderful way to educate people and build a practice. These organizations are always looking for guest speakers. This has been my greatest form of advertising! Also, remember the Yellow Pages and local papers that are distributed freely. Don't be shy. We are offering a wonderful healing experience that could prevent many disease processes. Tell the world about your own progress with colonics!
