Cathy Shea, LMT, CT, is a published author and respected International Speaker of holistic education who has taught globally on the value of self-care and gentle routine cleansing. She has been married to Michael J. Shea, Ph.D., since 1990. Her passion includes swimming in the ocean like a mermaid and enjoying play time with her 45 nieces and nephews.

“I have studied natural healing all my life, and both of my grandmothers assisted with birthing and dying in the Pittsburgh community where I grew up with my 9 siblings. Little did I know as a child witnessing this it was my early training with natural ways in the healing arts. Unfortunately, my health suffered greatly due to steel mill city pollution, metal fillings, and root canals in my teeth. Thankfully, I was guided to gentle, routine cleansing that I practice on a monthly basis to keep myself strong and healthy as I age gracefully.

When I met my husband, Michael J. Shea, Ph.D., I had just finished my first extended cleansing program. As we sat at dinner on our first date, I was amazed to discover that he was both a Florida licensed massage and colon hydrotherapist. I began to travel and study with him in 1990 after we were married. It became clear to me that my real estate career was ending as I was entering into my practice as a DetoxCoach helping people heal themselves.

Michael supported me and I earned my Florida license in 1992 since we live in the only state that has a regulated licensed for massage and colonics. In 1994, I began teaching, and I have trained exceptional professional health care providers in 37 countries. DetoxCoach programs through our school are available to anyone interested in staying on the wellness wagon. We also offer a Professional Practical Program for licensed health care providers.

My beloved husband is our Scientific Curriculum Developer, providing current updates to our people with publishesd research findings. One of his gifts is reading complex scientific literature and distilling it into a language anyone can understand. You deserve the best, and that is what we provide. Ann Kennedy

Qualified DetoxCoach Instructor

Ann started her routine cleansing journey in 1998 after having her metal fillings removed. While completing Yoga Teacher Training in 2019, she had the opportunity to purchase an existing business in Henniker, NH. The owner told Ann that she was retiring and would sell her business to her but only if she went to Cathy Shea's School. Ann added colon hydrotherapy to her Nutritional Therapy practice that includes Bio-Individuality assessment. Ann completed her initial training with Cathy in 2020, then Advanced training in 2022. Ann is a consummate student and plans to always continue her education in health and wellness to provide the very best care for herself, her family, and her clients.

She offers F.X. Mayr Coaching and Colon HydroTherapy training in Switzerland and serves as President of the Swiss Colon HydroTherapy Association.
